Lux Dei Electric values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in compliance with California law, including CSLB requirements and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1) Information We Collect
Contact: name, phone, email, service address.
Project: job details, site photos, permits.
Billing: invoices, payments, change orders.
Website/Tech: IP address, device/browser info, cookies/analytics.
2) How We Use Information
Provide and manage electrical services and warranties.
Schedule visits, communicate estimates/changes, process payments.
Maintain records as required by CSLB and CA law.
Improve our website and customer service.
We do not sell personal information.
3) Sharing Information
Employees/Subcontractors (licensed/contracted) to perform work.
Vendors/Service Providers (payment processing, hosting, insurance).
Agencies/Authorities (e.g., CSLB, permitting offices) when required.
Legal: to comply with law, subpoenas, investigations, or protect rights.
4) CSLB Compliance
Our business name and license #1142855 appear on all contracts and ads.
We keep accurate project/transaction records pursuant to Bus. & Prof. Code §§7027–7030.5.
5) California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may:
Know/Access what info we collect.
Delete personal info (subject to legal/contractual needs).
Correct inaccurate info.
Limit use of sensitive info (we collect minimal).
Non-Discrimination for exercising rights.

6) Data Retention
Records are kept as long as needed for services, disputes, tax/accounting, and CSLB requirements (≥ 4 years after project completion).
7) Security
We apply reasonable safeguards to protect personal data.
8) Minors
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9) Updates
We may update this Policy; changes will be posted with a new effective date.
Terms & Conditions / Customer Rights
Effective Date: September 8, 2025
1. Contract Requirements
Projects ≥ $500 require a written contract (CA law).
Contract must include description, price, payment schedule, cancellation rights.
2. Payments & Deposits
Deposit cannot exceed $1,000 or 10% of contract price (whichever is less).
Progress payments tied to completed work.
Final payment due at completion.
3. Right to Cancel
Homeowners may cancel within 3 business days of signing a residential contract.
Cancellation must be in writing and submitted by mail, email, or in person.
4. Warranties
1-year workmanship warranty on labor unless otherwise stated.
Manufacturer warranties passed through to customer.
5. Change Orders
Must be in writing, signed, and may adjust cost/timeline.
6. Permits & Compliance
Lux Dei Electric pulls required permits, follows CEC/NEC and local codes.
Customers must provide site access and handle HOA approvals if required.
7. Insurance & Liability
We carry liability insurance.
Not responsible for pre-existing code violations or hidden defects.
8. Dispute Resolution
Customers should first contact Lux Dei Electric.
If unresolved, customers may contact the CSLB at 1-800-321-CSLB or www.cslb.ca.gov.
Mediation/arbitration may be used before litigation.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Provide safe site access.
Remove obstacles that interfere with work.
Ensure timely payments.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by California law and enforced under CSLB jurisdiction.
CSLB Consumer Rights
California law protects you when hiring contractors:
Only hire licensed contractors for jobs over $500.
Verify a license at www.cslb.ca.gov.
Contracts must include license #, project description, price, and cancellation rights.
You have the right to cancel within 3 business days for residential contracts.
